Amy Alfaro is a photographer currently based out of Denton, Texas. She produces her photographs without the use of a camera essentially creating photograms in the darkroom. Her work focuses on recreating her experiences through her use of memory, emotions and thoughts. Her work has been exhibited throughout the DFW area including 500x gallery.

Alfaro was born in 1992 in Dallas, Texas. In 2013 she moved to Denton to attend the University of North Texas where she received her BFA, 2015. Before transferring to UNT, Alfaro had taken a few darkroom courses at a community college and became really fascinated with traditional photography. During her last year at UNT she became really eager in going back into the darkroom and create abstract photograms as well as other darkroom techniques to incorporate into her work.

Today, Amy Alfaro lives in Richardson, Texas where she continues to work as an artist.
